General Manager - Historic Inn in Martha’s Vineyard
The General Manager will personally direct and administer Inn Operations ensuring first class service and accommodations. He/she will have departmental oversight of, but not limited to, Front Desk, Housekeeping, VIP Services, and Dining etc. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the policies and procedures of the Inn. The General Manager will:
- Establish and implement standards and procedures to ensure the highest level of guest service.
- Prepare accurate and informative reports containing conclusions and recommendations; prepare detailed financial reports and ensure compliance with established budgets.
- Prepare ongoing detailed management and operational analysis; oversees and ensures operational functions and proper staffing, including employee retention.
- Research new and innovative ways of improving guest satisfaction and work applications.
- Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and health regulations.
- Direct investigation into causes of guest complaints and employee issues and respond accordingly.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The right candidate must have at least 5-10 years experience in hospitality management, including front desk, room reservations, bell/door services and housekeeping, property operations; 3-5 years must be a combination of the hotel/Inn and resort operations.
Must have proficient computer skills.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Hospitality Management
